We’re almost there, kunts! The new year is right around the corner. This means that it’s time for people to say they’re cutting everyone off, make resolutions, and do their best to start the year off with good vibes. I know you’ve been around the New Year block a few times yourself, so you probably have your own ideas about what you’ll need and do. But, its never too late to make some changes and include some new stuff to make 2019 even more special. If you’re into numerology at all, you already know that 2019 is a “three” year (2 + 0 + 1 + 9 = 12, 1 + 2 = 3). Three years have multiple implications. One is centered around the idea that many spent 2018 catering to other people, and 2019 is about tapping into your own happiness.
Numerologist and author Christine DeLorey says, “Your own long-term happiness and fulfillment are the central issues, and the 3 Year cycle gives you the opportunity to discover, and then create, what you believe will make you happy…However, before the direction of your happiness can be uncovered, you first have to detect and heal the sources of your unhappiness which, you will find, have as much to do with what is taking place in the world as it does with your own personal situations, relationships, and memories.”.
It will also be a great year to get in touch with the voices inside of you and figure out where they’re coming from? Is it the loving voice of your intuition or the abrasive, unnecessary screams of fear? You will soon find out. I’ve been writing my thoughts, hopes, and experiences for as long as I can remember. There’s something special about being able to go back and track your progress. You need a place where you can let out all of desires, jot down issues that need to be worked on, and brag to yourself about yourself. A journal is like an extra bestie who’ll never fold.
If you’re getting all of the vitamins and minerals you need through food, then you can skip this one. But if you’re like me, you may need to pop some vitamins to round yourself out. I have fish oil, which helps me take care of my heart, folic acid, (it helps me fight off anemia), and women’s wellness vitamins that are packed with Vitamins A, C, D, E, B-6, B-12, Biotin, and Zinc. Taking vitamins lets me know that I’m going the extra mile to care for myself.

3. Passion Project
Whether it be writing a book, working on a mixtape, or doing 365 drawings in a year, you need something to work on that you love doing. Even if you’re like me and adore your 9-5 job, there needs to be an outside hobby that you have that gives you some extra pep. So, if you’re ever in a funk because of life, or just feeling overwhelmed by responsibilities, you can turn to your passion project and be completely in your own zone.
4. A Daily Routine
If there’s no type of nucleus to your day, you may feel a bit scatterbrained. For grounding purposes, there have to be a couple of activities that you do complete daily. It doesn’t have to be super complicated, and honestly, you may already have a few ones you can think of. For me, I know I’m going to write something, moisturize, have family time, and correspond with at least one friend everyday. These little constants help me feel secure and less all over the place.
Tangible items are amazing, but you need that inner magic to help you glow, too. No matter what happens, 2019 is YOUR year to shine. You have to believe that with all of your heart and soul. Confidence is key, don’t enter the new year without it!
